• Delivering Shabbos care packages to individuals who are required to remain in the hospital during Shabbos.
• Reciting Tehillim for those in need of our Prayers.
• Coordinating UBER transportation to and from medical appointments.

Our most recent initiative, overseen by Bikkur Cholim, is our Shabbos Care Packages project. The primary objective is to ensure that any Jewish patient who must spend the sacred day of Shabbat in a healthcare facility receives one of our carefully prepared care packages. Each package thoughtfully includes the following items:

• Inspirational word of Torah.
• Electronic Shabbat candles.
• Grape juice and a designated Kiddush cup.
• Fresh challah roll.
• A selection of beverages and snacks.

Presently, we are distributing approximately 50 of these packages each week to healthcare facilities such as Parklane, Rosebank, Donald Gordon, and Linksfield hospitals. However, our aspiration is to extend our coverage to include all hospitals in the vicinity, ensuring that no Jewish patient is without this essential support on Shabbat.

Bikkur Cholim takes pride in offering a valuable resource to the community by maintaining a fully stocked cupboard within the Parklane Clinic and Millpark Hospital. These cupboards serve as a lifeline for families who find themselves enduring extended hospital stays with their loved ones. Within each cupboard, we provide a wide selection of Kosher food, snacks, and essential items, ensuring that families have access to the sustenance and support they require during challenging times. We are committed to easing the burden that extended hospitalization can place on families, and our fully stocked cupboard is a testament to our dedication to this mission.
